XL Events Helps Solve Puzzle Posed by “Brainiac Live” Staging Challenges

LONDON — For the West End debut for the Brainiac Live show at The Palace Theatre here, XL Events had to figure out the best way to serve the show’s production needs – lighting, video and audio – while playing “underneath” Derren Brown’s current residency at the Palace — which entailed that the production be rigged and de-rigged in a seemingly impossible time frame, as little as 30 minutes, in some instances.

LONDON – To promote their literacy campaign, the London Evening Standard, in partnership with Nook, planned a one-day event in Trafalgar Square called ‘Get Reading.’ The July 13 event featured an appearance by War Horse, performances from the casts of Billy Elliot The Musical and Wicked and live readings by celebrities including Hugh Grant, Warwick Davis and Rupert Everett.

XL Events Assist ‘Django Unchained’ UK Premiere

LONDON – In the week the movie was nominated for five Oscars, the UK premiere of director Quentin Tarantino’s latest film Django Unchained took place in London’s Leicester Square. XL Events supplied the visual elements for the ‘red-carpet’ arrivals including Tarantino and stars Jamie Foxx and Samuel L. Jackson.

XL Events Supplies BBC Holiday Projection

LONDON – When BBC One’s The One Show was chosen to launch the BBC One Christmas line-up, they commissioned arts and technology collective, seeper, to produce a large scale projection onto the front of the BBC. The projection displayed a specially-produced promo film of the BBC’s upcoming Christmas shows on to the building in Wood Lane, West London. To satisfy the requirement for a high lux output, XL Events specified the newest Barco projectors.

XL Events Supplies Circular LED Display for Nissan

CHICHESTER, UK – XL Events supplied a specially constructed circular LED screen for Nissan’s stand in the exhibition area of the 2012 Festival of Speed. XL Events’ display, measuring 6 meters in diameter, was made up of lightweight Pixled F-11 LED, mounted on to a circular Litebeam truss.
