WorldStage Helps Turn High Line into Real Life ‘Project Runway’

NEW YORK – Strollers on the Chelsea Market passage of the High Line (a linear park built on a former elevated NY Central Railroad) got to strut their stuff, pose and collect nods of approval as they walked a virtual runway to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Lifetime’s “Project Runway.”  WorldStage facilitated the installation of a 20-ft long interactive videowall, which used human tracking technology to mix the realtime virtual emotions of show host Heidi Klum, mentor Tim Gunn and judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia as they reacted to the fashion sense of passersby seeking their moment on the runway.

WorldStage's new space

WorldStage Moves Back to Manhattan

NEW YORK – After more than a decade in Long Island City, WorldStage has moved its administrative offices to midtown Manhattan in a newly-designed space at 259 West 30th St. The new neighborhood offers many advantages from proximity to clients and popular event spaces to the convenience of nearby Penn Station and the New Jersey warehouse. Shelly Sabel, the company’s new director of design, says her goal was to make the new administrative offices as “playful” as the personality of the company.

CBS Upfront Plays Carnegie Hall with WorldStage

NEW YORK – CBS called on WorldStage for video support as Carnegie Hall’s famous stage showcased the latest CBS stars and shows during the annual Upfront sales presentation.  WorldStage was charged with expanding display beyond the hero screen to incorporate the architectural elements of Carnegie Hall’s celebrated proscenium stage.  The network wanted to paint content across the big canvas of a stage more accustomed to hosting symphony orchestras than upfronts.
