The Event Safety Alliance (ESA) has just added a new virtual OSHA 30 General Industry course to its fall calendar. This online, instructor-led learning opportunity will be delivered via Zoom over eight weeks, beginning October 4. Class will be held on Tuesday evenings from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. PDT.
The USITT Glerum Rigging Masterclass will take place in Indianapolis, Oct. 24 & 25, 2022 from 9:00 a.m – 5:30 p.m. EDT. This entry-level track is geared toward those needing to reaffirm their knowledge of or build upon their understanding of the basics in counterweight rigging safety and operations.
HippoSchool is being held in Las Vegas on August 16-17, with an optional advanced day on the 18th. It is being hosted by Evolve. There are six spaces available for this course, which is being held in-person and is aimed at an intermediate skill level.
ESTA will host the very first Midwest Rigging Intensive on August 25-27 in Chicago. The weekend-long event will feature a curriculum developed by a group of dedicated instructors, all of whom are ETCP Recognized Trainers. With a focus on practical learning for entertainment riggers, the Midwest Rigging Intensive will be a fantastic opportunity to train with some of the top minds in the industry: Ben Brian (Reed Rigging), Tyler DeLong (DeLong Rigging Solutions), Brent “Mickey” Henry (ETC), Ed Leahy (Chicago Flyhouse), Tracy Nunnally (Vertigo), Patrick Stewart (ETC), Shane Kelly (DePaul University), Rebecca Knipfer (ETC), and Verda Beth Martell (DLR Group). This exciting new event will provide enough hours to fulfill a technician’s ETCP Education Renewal Credits requirement.
