Winter Jam 2023 Takes Bandit Lites on Tour

Production Manager Jerry Holcomb and Lighting Designer Kurtis Wheat crafted a system for Winter Jam that would give the range of artists the most bang for their buck. Bandit Lites supported the tour providing the lighting solutions.

Impression X5 the Key to RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Touring Rig

Lighting Designer Matt Smith (of Colourblind) again took full advantage of GLP’s fixture versatility when plotting the scenography for the American leg of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s tour. The Australian creative used a selection of GLP’s impression X5, JDC1, and impression X4 Bar 20, deploying them in mission-critical roles. The lighting department of leading Danish rental and technical production specialist, European Touring Productions (ETP), based just outside Copenhagen, has enthusiastically started investing in Astera wireless LED lighting products. The first purchase of 32 Titan Tubes – four sets of 8 – was recommend by project manager John Askwith, who came on board last summer and swiftly made a list of 10 “must have” products to service ETP clients, shows and events, especially in the corporate and television sectors. In Memoriam: James Moody, Designer, Author, Teacher, Mentor, 80

Designer James L. Moody died on Monday, February 20, 2023, at the age of 80. Lighting Designer for theater, concerts, and television as well as professor, lecturer, author, and mentor, Moody had an amazing and varied career.

We send our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues on his passing.
