3rd International Drone Show Competition Winners Announced

The 3rd International Drone Show Competition, initiated by SPH Engineering’s Drone Show Software (DSS) team, announced its results. Participants from 31 countries competed for the right to get to the final and become the winner in one of five categories. Applications from drone show operators, event companies, firework enthusiasts, 3D animators, and other professionals involved in the drone show industry were evaluated by an international jury, composed of representatives of the media industry, drone enterprises, creative and design agencies, experienced high-tech entrepreneurs, etc. PLSN Editor, Michael S. Eddy was one of the judges for the 3rd International Drone Show Competition.

Robert Juliat Dalis 860 LED Cyclorama Lighting Chosen for Taiwan’s National Taichung Theater

Robert Juliat is happy to announce that 36 of its Dalis 860 cyclorama lights, complete with mini yoke and Quickrig systems, have been supplied to the National Taichung Theater in Taiwan by DLHG Co., Ltd. The National Taichung Theater (NTT) has three main venues: the 2007-seat Grand Theater, the 794-seat Playhouse, and the 200-seat Black Box theater. The main location for the Dalis 860 fixtures will be the Grand Theater which hosts a broad program of musicals, opera, ballet, modern dance, and drama. Taiwanese Alt Rockers Mayday Perform at Wembley Arena with XL Video Support

LONDON — For a concert Feb. 21 at Wembley Arena for Taiwanese alt rockers Mayday, Live Nation turned to XL Video for video production that included a 24 by 5.4 meter high main screen comprised Pixled FX-12 along with 240 tiles of Pixled FX-11 for three additional screens flown on a mid truss, all measuring 8 tiles wide and 10 high. For I-Mag relay, two 16-by-9-foot side screens were rigged left and right of the stage, each fed by a pair of Barco FLM 22K projectors.
