Tait Sets the Scene for Rolling Stones’ 50th Anniversary Tour

LITITZ, PA – Tait provided a variety of staging, rigging and scenic elements for the Rolling Stones’ 50th Anniversary worldwide tour, continuing a long-standing relationship of nearly three decades. Mark Fisher was at the helm of the set design, which made use of the band’s iconic lips logo with a tongue-shaped runway.

LONDON – The second leg of Bon Jovi’s current tour opened in Bulgaria earlier this month, revealing an Americana-themed set, designed by PEDG’s Spike Brant. Serving as production / lighting designer / show director for the tour, Brant turned to Tait to create the 30 meter inflatable 1959 Buick Electra, which spans the length of the mainstage.

Tait/FTSI Sends Psy Flying Above 80,000 Fans

SEOUL – During a midnight concert April 11 at Seoul’s World Cup Stadium, pop sensation Psy soared across the venue at 8.2m (27 feet) per second, amidst the glow of light sticks being waved by 80,000 fans below. Tait/FTSI was at the helm of the feat, which was achieved with three days of programming and one day of rehearsals, leading up to opening night.

BELGRADE, Serbia – Beyonce’s “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” began recently in Belgrade, Serbia. Set designer LeRoy Bennett was at the helm of the show’s visual display, and Tait delivered a complete staging solution. The rolling mainstage includes a flaggapault lift, retractable dance bar, band risers, duck blinds, propane bars, pantograph stairs, Austrians, Kabukis, Sniffers and fanzone decking with custom handrails. Tait also crafted the framework for one of the key mainstage elements: a strobe and mirror structure made up of five alternating columns of strobes and automated mirrors intermixed with six light ladders.

LITITZ, PA – Tait provided Maroon 5’s fourth worldwide tour, Overexposed, with a rolling m-shaped mainstage, a custom aluminum bridge to connect to the B-stage, and other custom solutions for what is one of the band’s biggest touring productions to date.

Jeremy Lloyd Joins Tait as Spectaculars Director

LONDON – Jeremy Lloyd has taken on a new role as spectaculars director at Tait, based at the company’s U.K. location. Lloyd has worked on many of the industry’s biggest productions during his 22 years of live event experience. Most recently he led the technical design and staging teams for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Ceremonies in London.

NEW YORK – Producers of the 2012 Radio City Christmas Spectacular turned to Tait’ for scenic and staging elements including a new, custom-made video wall that showcased video content.  Tait also provided full video/motion integration that allowed the system to track an image, along with the motion of the screens, to give the appearance of moving through a continuous video image.

Tait Adds Scenic Elements to Tim & Faith’s Vegas Run

LAS VEGAS –  Country superstars Faith Hill and Tim McGraw took to the stage Dec. 7 at The Venetian in Las Vegas, showcasing Tait Technology’s work in both staging and scenic elements, along with key automation elements. Leroy Bennett designed the set for the duo’s Soul2Soul 10-weekend run at the resort.

Tait’s Landscape Video Display at 2012 Olympics Sets World Record

LONDON – Tait Technologies was awarded a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest landscape video display. Consisting of 634,500 individual pixels, Tait’s pixel tablet debuted July 27 at the Opening Ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics and was used for memorable visuals for the other major Olympics ceremonies as well.

LONDON – Jessica Allan joins Tait Europe as Sales Manager, responsible for expanding Tait’s presence in the concert touring marketing in Europe and Asia. She previously spent 14 years working with Martin Professional in Denmark, rising through the ranks to the position of Business Area Manager for Touring and Production.
