Berlin-based Kontra K, the street-smart German rapper who tops the German hip-hop scene, has toured arenas across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg throughout February and March. Lighting Designer, Marcus Herzog, specified 112 Ayrton Eurus Profile fixtures for his dramatic and highly dynamic lighting design on a stage designed by Kriss Hinrichsen for this special tour. Robe Gets Intoxicated with Helene Fischer

It’s been a busy year so far for Lighting Designer Tim Routledge, including crafting a stunning production lighting design for Helene Fischer’s audacious new LIVE 2023 arena tour collaboration with Cirque du Soleil, which is playing to sold out audiences across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland until the autumn, presenting an energetic collage of a 360° production, seat-edge acrobatics, and superlative musical performance. In Memoriam: Bob Roach, Lighting Industry Veteran, 67

Bob Roach

Robert David Roach, 67 of Longwood, FL, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 7, 2023. Bob had recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and received a successful bone marrow transplant from his son, Mike. Sadly, in his weakened state he contracted pneumonia and was not able to rebound from it. He was born in Johnson City, TN on March 25, 1955 to John and Josephine Roach who preceded him in death. Ayrton Festival Fun in Switzerland

As the European festival scene kicked back into action following the upheaval and restrictions of the pandemic, Ayrton teamed up with some established Swiss rental companies to support festivals across the country and showcase some of Ayrton’s latest fixtures. David Garrett is Alive with Robe

Classic and crossover violinist David Garrett is a unique, interesting, and fun artist to light requiring a mix of treatments inspired by multiple visual genres, which is one of the many aspects – and challenges – relished by Lighting Designer Gerard Maijenburg who has worked with him for the last seven years. GLP XDC1 IP Hybrid Allows SEEED to Shine on an Open-Air Stage


Berlin band SEEED was busy playing open-air and festival dates in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (including eight concerts in their home town alone) between May and September. LD Timo Martens has been with the 14-piece band for 22 years, and both musicians and crew are like family to him.
