Stage Managers’ Association Del Hughes Award, The Founders Award & Special Recognition Honorees 2022 Top: Andrew Feigin, Raymond Menard, Bernita Robinson Bottom: Marguerite Price, Narda E. Alcorn, Lisa Porter

On Monday October 24th, 2022, the Stage Managers’ Association (SMA) will present its annual Del Hughes Awards for Lifetime Achievement in the Art of Stage Management, at the National Opera Center’s Marc A. Scorca Hall in NYC. The distinguished 2022 honorees are corporate, event, and theatrical stage manager Andrew Feigin, opera stage manager Raymond Menard, and theatrical stage manager Bernita Robinson. In addition to these Lifetime Achievement Awards, the SMA will honor Marguerite Price with The Founders Award, and Narda E. Alcorn and Lisa Porter with a Special Recognition Award.

The event is available virtually on Monday, October 24th, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT.

The Stage Managers’ Association (SMA) has announced its annual Del Hughes Awards for Lifetime Achievement in the Art of Stage Management. The 125th anniversary of Thornton Wilder’s birth (April 17, 1897) will be observed throughout 2022 with nearly 150 productions of his plays worldwide—including Our Town, a new production of The Skin of Our Teeth at Lincoln Center Theatre, and a first-ever staging of his unfinished play The Emporium completed by Kirk Lynn (Rude Mechanicals) at the Alley Theater in Houston. The 2021 Stage Manager Survey Closes on Oct. 31

WORLD – There’s still time to participate in the 2021 Stage Manager Survey from David J. McGraw, but the deadline – Oct. 31 – is quickly approaching. The biennial Stage Manager Survey (SMS), which McGraw created in 2006, is also expanding this year from a focus on the U.S. to stage management anywhere in the world.

Actors’ Equity Association Announces ‘Open Access,’ Expanding Eligibility for Union Membership
