Nine Inch Nails Tour 2022

Nine Inch Nails played a limited number of make-up headlining dates on their spring and fall 2022 tour. PLSN caught up with Toss Film & Design’s Paul “Arlo” Guthrie about his work as designer, director, and programmer for the NIN tour. We also checked in with Lighting Technician Matthew “Matt” Schiller for some fixture details in the design, with lighting supplied by tour vendor Upstaging.

Cameo Presents P-Series – LED Profile Spotlights at LDI 2022

At LDI 2022, Cameo, the lighting brand of the Adam Hall Group will present its first profile spotlight for professional theater and TV use in its Booth #2055. Cameo will present its new P-Series LED profile spotlights that are aimed at professional users from the theater, TV, and event sectors and are available in Tungsten, Daylight, and Full-Color versions.  In addition to its light output and flexible handling, the P-series also provides extremely high CRI and TLCI values as well as a lifelike white light and color rendering. To meet the exacting requirements of lighting designers, Cameo has developed the P series of LED profile spotlights. GLP Rides with Die Ärzte on ‘Buffalo Bill in Rome’ Tour

The German band Die Ärzte followed up the release of their 2020 album, “Hell” (“Bright” in German) with “Dunkel” (“Dark”) in 2021. This year, after pandemic restrictions eased, the band supported both albums with their 2022 tour. Production designer Bertil Mark’s honeycomb-patterned design incorporates impression X5 and X4 Bar 20 fixtures along with JDC Line 500 and JDC1 units from GLP.

The Design Oasis Lights Two Rolling Loud Stages and Grounds with Chauvet Professional Fixtures

Abbas Ritscher and his team at The Design Oasis made up for the lack of front-lighting at the Rolling Loud festival’s Snipes Stage by grabbing 12 extra Chauvet Professional Maverick Storm 1 Wash fixtures from their inventory and hanging them “as far down the stage as we could” for a camera-friendly lighting design. The Design Oasis also used Chauvet fixtures to illuminate the smaller VH1 stage and the festival grounds.
