Robe In the Clouds with ИF

NASHVILLE – US rapper ИF’s Clouds tour included a production design from Chris Denholm (also musical director) and Clay Joiner (also lighting designer) that needed some seriously bright lights. Denholm and Joiner chose more than 200 Robe fixtures including 64 Robe Tarrantula wash beams, 128 Spikies and 16 BMFL Spots plus two BMFL FollowSpots on a RoboSpot remote followspot system.

Ayrton Khamsin Shines on The Doobie Brothers’ 50th Anniversary Tour

NASHVILLE – The Doobie Brothers’ 50th anniversary tour will include close to 50 performances in venues across the U.S. and Canada this year and next. Solotech of Nashville is supplying 17 Ayrton Khamsin LED profile fixtures, which were specified by Darkroom Creative’s Seth Jackson and Nathan Alves.

Solotech Acquires Waveform Entertainment

MONTREAL – Groupe Solotech president and CEO Martin Tremblay announced that Solotech has acquired Waveform Entertainment, a Canadian e-sports entertainment company. The deal extends Waveform’s international reach and gives Solotech access to Waveform’s proprietary technologies that could support the production of events featuring augmented and virtual reality.

Morris Light & Sound to be Acquired By Solotech

NASHVILLE – Solotech, based in Montreal, announced plans to acquire Nashville-based Morris Light & Sound on Feb. 23. The acquisition includes Morris’ InteRise systems integration division. Martin Tremblay, Solotech’s president and CEO, made the announcement.

Solotech Expands with New Offices in Vancouver and Halifax

VANCOUVER, BC and HALIFAX, NS, Canada — Montreal-based Solotech announced new sales and integration offices in Vancouver and Halifax on May 1. The Vancouver office will be led by Brian Konechny and Larry Medwin. The Halifax office will be led by Eric Bourgeois and Bill Lawlor. Solotech also added Rob Lanthier to its Ottawa office staff.
