Shangri-La’s NowHere Stage – Cameo at Glastonbury Festival 2024

At the Glastonbury Festival, Shangri-La is a festival within a festival that is entirely dedicated to creativity, arts, and underground and independent culture – has been a special area for many years now. The sophisticated lighting set-up, for which lighting designer James R. Dickson from Elixir Lighting opted to use the Cameo OTOS® H5 and ZENIT® W600 SMD, played a major part in creating this atmosphere.

Geodis Park, home of Nashville Soccer Club, staged its first ever concert recently, hosting Shania Twain’s one-off Queen of Me stadium show. The concert was lit by André Petrus, well known as an experienced programmer, to add dimension to a concept conceived by Creative Producer and Production Designer Cory FitzGerald, of Silent House Productions. For this year’s 20th Annual Parnelli Awards, on Friday, June 3, the Parnelli Visionary Award will be presented to Designer Peter Morse. This Parnelli Visionary has received quite a few other awards and nominations during his illustrious career: He was named the Parnelli Lighting Designer of the Year in 2004 and won four Cable Ace Awards; two LDI Awards; a Performance Magazine Award; was nominated for an Emmy in 1995, 1997, 2000, 2001; and won the Emmy in 1997 for Bette Midler’s Diva, Las Vegas HBO Special. Morse will now add the Parnelli Visionary Award for his extraordinary career lighting some of the biggest musical artists of our time and influencing scores of designers who came after him. Shania Twain’s new show, Still the One, began its two-year, 110-show residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Dec. 1, 2012. During the 100-minute, 18-song show, the venue’s 34-by-109-foot-wide 11mm HD LED screen is used to display a variety of images — from kaleidoscopic abstractions to clips featuring Twain, a Wild West saloon, leopards and a campfire scene in a forest.
