Black Light Supports “Night in the Garden” at Royal Botanic Gardens in Scotland

EDINBURGH — In celebration of all things natural and nocturnal, nighttime visitors to Edinburgh’s much-loved Royal Botanic Garden (RBGE) saw the familiar landscapes and buildings transformed by a magical light installation during November. Designed by light artist Malcolm Innes, along with his colleague Euan Winton and supplied and installed by light solutions specialist Black Light the aptly named ‘Night in the Garden’ invited people to visit the gardens after dark to view and interact with an inspired display of light, art and nature.

3D AV Presentation Marks 700th Anniversary of Scotland’s Battle of Bannockburn

STIRLING, Scotland — In the lead up to the 700th anniversary of Scotland’s Battle of Bannockburn, a new visitor center at the historic site in Stirling has become the first in the world to use fight choreography and motion capture techniques to immerse visitors in a realistic 3D medieval battle. The complex projection system was designed by Electrosonic’s Design Consulting team and engineered and installed by Electrosonic’s Edinburgh office under sub-contract to lead design consultancy Bright White Ltd.

Top Gear Live Debuts in Scotland with Assist from PRG

GLASGOW — Top Gear Live made its debut in Scotland with five shows from Jan. 17-19. Based on the British TV show, and featuring presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May along with show character, “The Stig,” the production included a variety of live stunts and challenges. PRG supported the event’s lighting and rigging needs.
