Lighting Rig for La Bohème at RAH Includes Philips Vari-Lite Fixtures

LONDON — LD Andy Bridge used a range of Philips Vari-Lite luminaires, including VL3000Q Spot, VL3500Q Spot and VL3500 Wash luminaires, for a production of La Bohème at London’s Royal Albert Hall (RAH). The fixtures helped Bridge overcome some lighting design challenges posed by the nature of the in-the-round production.

LONDON — For 2014’s Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) at the Royal Albert Hall, which ran from March 24-30, the roster of performers included Ed Sheeran, The Cure, OneRepublic, Suede and Paolo Nutini along with Jason Manford and other comedians. PRG worked with LD Tom Kenny and provided lighting and rigging gear and crew.

LONDON — LD Richard Rhys Thomas of the Royal Albert Hall (RAH) used Clay Paky fixtures for the Mountbatten Military Festival of Music March 13-15. He used 36 Alpha Wash Halo 1200s, 16 Stage Line fixtures and a half-dozen Alpha Wash 1200, Alpha Wash 575, Alpha Spot HPE 575 and Stage Scan fixtures, all supplied by the RAH.
