RML Invests in Robe

KENT, UK – Lighting rental specialist RML has recently made a large investment in Robe moving lights to service its busy ongoing schedule, which includes a wide selection of shows, events and high profile TV series and programs. RML’s diverse clients are involved in all aspects of the entertainment industry and are embrace the latest designs and innovations from all manufacturers. “Keeping our doors open is the key to keeping our finger on the pulse,” says RML’s Operations Manager Steve Wells.

Robe in The House for Berlin Summer Rave

BERLIN – More than 200 Robe moving lights helped rock the house and showcase the Berlin’s emerging DJs and Techno, House, Electro and Minimal talent who made serious summer noise in four aircraft hangars at the Templehof Airport site for A&P’s 2013 ‘Berlin Summer Rave.’ A capacity audience of 20,000 enjoyed Martin Kuhn’s production lighting design. The Robe fixtures were central to the night of action in the Ostfunk, Planet Bass and House Floor arenas.

Robe assisted with the Czech Republic Red Cross relief effort in the wake of the severe flooding.

Robe Helps with Flood Relief Efforts in Central Europe

VALASSKE MEZIRICI, Czech Republic – Robe lighting’s CEO Josef Valchar and staff at the company’s headquarters here have mobilized to help contribute to humanitarian aid relief in the wake of the worst floods to hit the country in a decade. The floods, which affected vast swaths of the Czech Republic and other central European countries including Germany and Austria, claimed several lives and caused chaos as tens of thousands were evacuated from their homes.

Robe is ‘Out There’ with Paul McCartney in Brazil

BRAZIL – Paul McCartney’s ‘Out There’ world tour kicked off with three shows in Brazil with lighting looks from LD Roy Bennett. Bennett supervised the shows, while Lighting Director Wally Lees operated. Lighting equipment was supplied by leading Brazilian rental company LPL Professional Lighting and included Robe ColorSpot and ColorWash luminaires, together with other moving lights and generics.

India’s Nitin Speakers & Electrical Invests in Robe

Robe Celebrates Wine at 2013 Festival Nacional de la Vendimia

MENDOZA, Argentina – Lighting/set designer Eli Sirlin used more than 120 Robe moving lights in his lighting design for the 2013 Festival Nacional de la Vendimia (National Grape Harvest Festival), a celebration of wine and the wine-making industry in Argentina. One design challenge was the huge space and the distances and angles that the lighting needed to cover.

Robe Kit Helps Swedish Circus ‘Knit for Peace’

STOCKHOLM – Scandinavia’s leading contemporary circus company Cirkus Cirkör has purchased Robe MMX Spots and LEDWash moving lights for their current touring schedule, which presents their latest work, “Knitting Peace.” The Robes are currently the only lights on the show. They are rigged onto the custom trussing structure which is also used by the performers and for various props, with some units placed in the floor.

South African State Theatre Invests in More Robe

PRETORIA, South Africa – The South African State Theatre in Pretoria has added more Robe LED fixtures to its lighting inventory, specified by Head of Lighting Simon King. The State Theatre’s lighting crew appreciate the new Robes because they are light in weight and easy to handle. The new Robes are distributed around the theatre’s different spaces – the majority on the two main stages.

Robe Installed At Stockholm’s Sodra Teatern

STOCKHOLM – Södra Teatern (Southern Theatre) located in Stockholm’s lively Söder district, is one of Sweden’s best known privately run theatres and the oldest such venue in Stockholm, established in 1859. The newest Robe fixtures in the house as part of a general lighting upgrade are six LEDWash 600s and four LEDWash 300s, specified by Head of Lighting Lars Ekdahl.
