MIAMI – Robe moving lights were central to the stage lighting design for the “Chosen Generation Conference – Supernatural Revolution” event staged at the King Jesus International Ministry (KJM) in Miami. The Supernatural Revolution event was shot in HD and broadcast globally by KJM, so it needed to look great on camera as well as live.
BRISBANE, Australia – More than 150 Robe moving lights were spread around multiple stages on Summafieldayze 2013, a popular marathon dance music festival staged at Doug Jennings Park, The Spit on Australia’s Gold Coast. Clifton Productions supplied the gear for the 24-hour event .
AVEIRO, Portugal – The first Robe ROBIN MMX Spots in Portugal have been delivered to rental company, FM Formato Musical, by Robe’s Portuguese distributors, NAN. The delivery was quick – FM received the fixtures just a week after they confirmed their order.
LONGUEIL, QUEBEC – Canadian rental specialist Ranger Son Éclairage has invested in Robe moving lights, initially buying 16 Robin MMX Spots and then following up with 24 LEDBeam 100s. LD Anthony Ranger of Ranger Son Eclairage has put the fixtures out on a number of projects he is designing, including large festivals, private events and parties.
ANTWERP, Belgium – Phlippo Showlights has increased its inventory of Robe moving LED lights with more Robe LEDWash fixtures – all to service current work. The latest investment of 32 Robe LEDWash 300s, 32 LEDWash 800s and 120 LEDWash 1200s boosts their Robe LED fixture stock to more than 450 units.
HIGH WYCOMBE, Buckinghamshire, UK – Lighting rental company Siyan has invested in additional Robe MMX Spots to keep up with the demand and to prepare for a busy upcoming calendar of shows. Half of the new 24 MMX fixtures went directly out on tour. Nick Valdez explains, “The MMX Spot has become increasingly popular this year, I keep getting very good feedback from users and they are appearing more frequently on specs.”
ROTTERDAM, Netherlands – Rotterdam-based rental company Peitsman Licht en Geluid (Light & Sound) has purchased Robe’s latest Robin DLX Spot and DLF Wash fixtures, becoming the first DLF users in the Benelux region. Of the new purchase, 10 DLFs and six DLXs went straight out on tour with Percossa, a high energy percussion ensemble now touring Benelux and France.
LJUBLJANA, Slovenia – Ljubljana-based rental company Event Lighting has invested this past year in the newest Robe Robin range. Most recently their inventory now includes the first MMX WashBeams in Slovenia. The fixtures have just been delivered via Robe’s distributor MK Light Sound, also based in Ljubljana.
LAS VEGAS – Lighting/set designer Tim Dunn from Gearhouse South Africa specified Robe Robin 600 LEDWash and PureWhite moving lights to illuminate VR Steel’s new booth at the recent Mine Expo International 2012 in Las Vegas. It is the first time that Dunn has used Robe fixtures for an exhibition stand design – although he’s specified them many times for concerts and special events.
LJUBLJANA, Slovenia – Slovenia welcomed the 2012 festive season in style at the Red XMas Party, one of the country’s largest and hottest dance events, at the Arena Stozice in Ljubljana. Event Lighting supplied the lighting rig, which featured 70 Robe moving lights at its core. The design was based on a plot by Van Buuren’s LD André Beekmans, and operated by Michael Seeverens, both from Netherlands-based The Art Of Light.
BRATISLAVA, Slovak Republic – LD Martin Kubanka used Robe moving lights to illuminate Slovak Republic’s 2012 ‘Face of The Year’ contest and gala evening, which was broadcast live on national channel STV1. His role was to not only light the set but also to make the models competing in the event look their best. He worked closely with set designer Dano Sichma for this show. Slovakian rental company Q-99 supplied the gear.
