Metallica 40 Shows Center on Robe BMFL Moving Lights

Metallica marked 40 years with mid-December concerts for fans at San Francisco’s Chase Center arena. LD Rob Koenig and Production Designer Dan Braun relied on Robe BMFL WashBeams and RoboSpot systems to light the in-the-round shows, which also featured 45 large multi-layered and overlapping video surfaces.

Robe Helps the Cogétama Ballet Story Unfold

The grace and fluidity of dancer’s movements were enhanced by an equally elegant lighting design by Koen De Clerck for Cogétama a specially choreographed ballet work created and produced by Glen Lambrecht Productions, commissioned by the Municipality of Aalter. Black Coffee Gets a Robe Boost at Drumsheds Event

DJ Black Coffee, who hails from South Africa, performed at Drumsheds in north London in late 2021 with a lighting design from LD Eran Klein that included Robe fixtures. “It was a giant rave, like a volcano, rumbling and exploding with molten energy,” Klein noted.

Monumental 2021 Finale for Robe

The Monumental Tour, a series of streamed EDM projects staged at monuments around France, wrapped up with a spectacular show in late November at the Chateau de Pierrefonds northeast of Paris. LD Mikael “Mika” Trochu used more than 100 Robe moving lights supplied by MDL Event.

Vienna State Opera Invests in Robe FORTE HCF Moving Lights

The Opera House wanted the human touch of the operator being involved rather than having a tracking system, so the FORTE Followspots are fitted with Robe’s LightMaster kit handles which enable the followspot operators to control the size and the intensity of the fixtures, while the other parameters are run via the venue’s main ETC GIO lighting console. Pentatonix (PTX) wrapped their 18-date Evergreen Christmas Tour 2021 the night before Christmas Eve with lighting from Bandit Lites. Named for their latest album release, Evergreen, the three-time Grammy award winning group brought their yuletide vocals to their fans with distinctive looks crafted by LD Travis Shirley.

Hull, UK Gets Festive with Robe MegaPointes from HPSS Ltd

Hull, UK-based rental and production company HPSS Ltd invested in more Robe MegaPointes. Sixteen of these bright, multifunctional fixtures were used to further enhance the city’s 2021-22 festive illuminations. HPSS’s Graham Roberts arranged for the MegaPointes to be deployed on the rooftops of three landmark city center buildings.

Pitbull Feels Good with Robe on Tour

Miami-based lighting and creative director Yamil Charif, who heads up design company YC3, delivered a high impact stage production for Pitbull’s recent I Feel Good tour. Charif used 100 Robe moving lights supplied by LPS Production for the 32-city tour across the U.S.
