Announcing an Open Comment Period on the International Code of Practice for Entertainment Rigging

The International Code of Practice for Entertainment Rigging (ICOPER) was drafted by industry professionals from around the globe to promote awareness and safety worldwide by providing a model code of practice with a focus on arena rigging but applicable to all event production rigging disciplines. ICOPER is now accepting public review comments until December 10, 2021. Hidden behind the State Theatre’s famous hand-painted curtain at the Arts Centre Melbourne, is the flying system – a crucial component of any theater. Made up of a system of battens, wire rope lines, pulleys and computer-controlled electric hoists, the flying system enables the stage crew to lift or “fly” components of a production on and off stage. WWI-Themed Musical Moves the Audience with Story Line, and Rigging

MECHELEN, Belgium — When Studio 100, producers of the WWI-themed 14-18 Spektakel musical, were looking to move a 2,000-seat audience tribune up and down a 150 meter-long performance space throughout the show, they turned to Hans Willems of Wicreations. The show was staged at the Nekkerhal here.

Royal Albert Hall, in conjunction with Raymond Gubbay, staged Puccini's classic opera, La Bohème, with an assist from crew, lighting equipment, lighting console and rigging from Production Resource Group (PRG).

LONDON — Royal Albert Hall, in conjunction with Raymond Gubbay, staged Puccini’s classic opera, La Bohème, with an assist from crew, lighting equipment, lighting console and rigging from Production Resource Group (PRG). Andrew Bridge once again served as LD for the Gubbay/RAH production, continuing a 20-year production alliance.
