The largest open-air concerts ever held in Munich, and the largest in Germany this year, took place at the Munich Exhibition Center in August with more than 300,000 fans total attending shows by Andreas Gabalier, Helene Fischer and Robbie Williams. Abbas Ritscher and his team at The Design Oasis made up for the lack of front-lighting at the Rolling Loud festival’s Snipes Stage by grabbing 12 extra Chauvet Professional Maverick Storm 1 Wash fixtures from their inventory and hanging them “as far down the stage as we could” for a camera-friendly lighting design. The Design Oasis also used Chauvet fixtures to illuminate the smaller VH1 stage and the festival grounds.

Prolights has debuted the EclNanoPanel TWC, the smallest member of the EclPanel range, containing all the features of the larger format soft lights in a compact-sized, battery-operated luminaire. The new fixture has a 30W RGB+WW source, producing a surprisingly powerful 1,800-lumen output. Its color technology is the same as the other ECL soft lights, producing rich colors, high-quality white tones, color gel matching, and onboard pixel cinema effects.
