Titled ‘Ballgowns: British Glamour Since 1950,’ the exhibition presents 60 ballgowns from 1950 to the present day. The exhibition is on two levels and occupies a domed space, with four alcoves leading off of it. The four alcove walls form curved projection surfaces that are taller than they are wide, necessitating the use of a pair of vertically stacked, edge-blended projectors for each alcove. With no alternative but to use the upper level of the exhibition display as the location for the projectors, the integration team designed special housings for them, color-matched to the decor and perforated to allow for ventilation.
