Hometown Hero Voting Begins!

The voting for the Parnelli Hometown Hero – Lighting Company of the Year Award is now open. PLSN readers get to vote for the six top regional lighting companies in North America—one for each of five U.S. regions, and a sixth for all of Canada. These votes will narrow the field from 36 to six regional winners, who will then appear on the Parnelli Awards ballot for a second round of voting. David Bernstein, Peter Morse and Sam Berkow to Receive Parnelli Honors for Career Achievement at 20th Annual Show

LAS VEGAS – The Parnelli Board of Advisors has announced that this year’s Parnelli honorees for career achievement are David Bernstein of Rock-it Cargo (Lifetime Achievement Award); Peter Morse, who has provided innovative lighting designs for some of the biggest most successful tours in live music history (Visionary Award); and Sam Berkow, who invented the SMAART software and designed some of our greatest-sounding concert halls (Audio Innovator Award).

George Travis to Receive 2013 Parnelli Lifetime Achievement Honor

LAS VEGAS — The Parnelli Board of Advisors has announced that George Travis, longtime production/tour manager for Bruce Springsteen, will receive the live event industry’s highest honor, the Parnelli Lifetime Achievement Award, at the annual gala ceremony in Las Vegas this November. Travis has also worked with Rod Stewart, Kiss, Boston, Elton John, Madonna, Shania Twain and Ringo Starr, among others.
