Bob Roach

Robert David Roach, 67 of Longwood, FL, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 7, 2023. Bob had recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and received a successful bone marrow transplant from his son, Mike. Sadly, in his weakened state he contracted pneumonia and was not able to rebound from it. He was born in Johnson City, TN on March 25, 1955 to John and Josephine Roach who preceded him in death. In Memoriam: Martee Nuruddin, 68

PLSN learned of the passing of Martin “Martee” Nuruddin, Vice President of PRG Orlando on April 14th. Nuruddin, born on February 15, 1954, was 68. He was a 44-year member of IATSE Local One, having been initiated on February 2, 1978. He worked throughout the Broadway jurisdiction and started his career as an apprentice at Vanco in New York. Christie Sim Roadshow Set to Visit Orlando April 30-May 1

ORLANDO, FL — Noting its development of the first DLP simulation projection system with LED illumination, Christie says it’s taking that simulation know-how on the road. The Cypress, CA-based company’s Sim Roadshow presentation will visit the Institute for Simulation and Training at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL from April 30-May 1.

Absen Certified Engineer (ACE) Program Launches in Orlando

ORLANDO, FL — From March 5-7, Absen’s Orlando showroom was turned into a classroom as 26 technicians from 17 rental and staging companies participated in the inaugural Absen Certified Engineer (ACE) Training Program, the first program of its kind in the U.S. sponsored by a Chinese LED manufacturer. A second ACE training program will take place later this year.
