Houston and San Antonio, TX-based rental and event production solutions company LD Systems has invested in 32 new Robe iFORTE LTX moving lights, purchased specifically to pair with their existing 14 RoboSpot remote followspot control systems.
Cincinnati-based rock band The National’s touring lighting crew appreciated using a mix of Robe BMFL Blade and Spiider wash beam moving lights for their show at Auckland, New Zealand’s Spark Arena venue, for which equipment was supplied by rental company NW Group / Oceania, and used to great effect to realize a touring version of Michael Brown’s production lighting design. Slovenian writer, actor, and TV personality Lado Bizovicar presented the 2024 Slovenska Muska extravaganza event, staged at Ljubljana’s Stožice arena, the first time in the venue’s history that a 360° show had been presented, which bumped up the capacity to 13,000, with every seat sold. The production and lighting design was created by Crt Birsa of design studio Blackout and Greta Godnic and recorded for broadcast. Popular Americana and R&B singer songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff and his band The Night Sweats played their show-stopping, sold-out annual homecoming holiday concert at the Ball Arena in Denver, CO, in December. It was the second time the annual event – which has been running for some years – was staged at this venue, after moving to the larger space in 2022. The lighting was crafted by Jeremy Roth, who has been Rateliff ’s Production Designer since 2017. UK-based Rock band Marillion has built up a formidable and near cult-like following over a career spanning five decades that has spawned 20 studio albums plus a string of top 40 hits since their formation in 1979.
