Remembering Nook: Family, Friends, and Colleagues Gather for a Celebration of Life in Minneapolis

The crowd gathered to Celebrate the Life of Richard “Nook” Schoenfeld with LD & MC John Featherstone leading the remembrances. Musicians Tom Liebermann on guitar, and Tim O’Keefe on percussion and harmonica added some live music to the evening.

Taking place after a sun-drenched April Fools Day that followed a surprise late-winter blizzard, the memorial service for Richard (a.k.a. Rick, a.k.a. Nook) Schoenfeld, packed the third floor event space above Brit’s Pub in Minneapolis with family, friends, and colleagues gathered to celebrate the former editor of PLSN’s life.Read More »Remembering Nook: Family, Friends, and Colleagues Gather for a Celebration of Life in Minneapolis

Impression X5 the Key to RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Touring Rig

Lighting Designer Matt Smith (of Colourblind) again took full advantage of GLP’s fixture versatility when plotting the scenography for the American leg of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s tour. The Australian creative used a selection of GLP’s impression X5, JDC1, and impression X4 Bar 20, deploying them in mission-critical roles. All were sourced from Volt Lites in Los Angeles, where Smith is now partly based, and who have been supplying inventory to him since the band’s Live from Joshua Tree project back in 2019.Read More »Impression X5 the Key to RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Touring Rig

Fineline Lighting and CHAUVET Professional Help Will Furze Reflect Energy of Skid Row on Tour

More than 30 years after they became the very first metal band to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard charts with 1991’s “Slave To The Grind,” Skid Row still has plenty of highly combustible fuel left in the tank. This was breathtakingly evident on the last leg of the band’s 2022 Gangs All Here tour in support of their new album, and their first with their new lead singer, winner of Swedish Idol, Erik Gronwall.Read More »Fineline Lighting and CHAUVET Professional Help Will Furze Reflect Energy of Skid Row on Tour
