Travis Tritt LD Derek Parker Relying upon Elation Satura Spot LED Fixtures

NASHVILLE – LD Derek Parker, who has handled lighting design for country music singer Travis Tritt for seven years, has swapped out some of the more conventional discharge spot fixtures in previous rigs with 300W Satura Spot LED Pro moving head fixtures from Elation Professional. Parker was drawn to the fixtures for their energy savings but has been won over by the looks they produce as well.

NEW YORK — LD Clifton Taylor lit the New York Philharmonic’s A Dancer’s Dream: Two Works by Stravinsky with a lighting rig that included Showline SL BAR 640, Philips Selecon PLCyc LED, Philips Vari-Lite VL3500 Spot, VL1000 ERS and VL5B Wash luminaires from Philips Entertainment Lighting. The production combined two of Igor Stravinsky’s ballet scores, “The Fairy’s Kiss” and “Petrushka,” into one production.

The British trio, Muse — including Matthew Bellamy (lead vocals, lead guitar, keyboards), Christopher Wolstenholme (bass, vocals, keyboards, rhythm guitar) and drummer/percussionist/synthesist Dominic Howard, with the addition of keyboardist/percussionist Morgan Nicholls on their live performances — offer an engaging blend of electronica, metal, classical and space rock.
