Michael Ledesma and Elation Keep Up with Carlos Santana on ‘Miraculous Supernatural Tour’

Following a spring run of shows, Santana toured the U.S. from June 17 to Aug. 27 with opening act Earth, Wind & Fire. Santana’s “Miraculous Supernatural Tour” featured a lighting design by Michael Ledesma that included Elation Protron Eclypse hybrid LED luminaires and SEVEN Batten 14 LED strip lights. Both luminaires allowed for a full range of possibilities to complement the 75-year-old artist’s trademark guitar riffs with bright, vivid colors.

Grupo Firme Electrifies Stadium Crowds with Assist from 3G-Supplied Elation Fixtures

Mexican band Grupo Firme brought the party to U.S. stadiums this summer with their “Enfiestados y Amanecidos” tour, with 3G Productions supplying lighting, video, audio and rigging equipment. Production Designer Andy Ruiz and Lighting Designer/Tour Operator Arturo Sanchez added a festive touch with Elation Smarty Hybrid and Rayzor 760 moving lights along with Cuepix WW2 blinders.

Blue Planet and Lightscape Announce Partnership and Expansion

Blue Planet AVL and Lightscape Lighting & Equipment announce a strategic partnership which bridges the gap between the Live Entertainment and Motion Picture markets. This collaboration creates a powerhouse operation in which both companies will now simultaneously offer their specialized services to all clients. Blue Planet and Lightscape have also started an aggressive expansion across the U.S., beginning with their joint operation in Atlanta, GA, opening early October 2022. Blue Planet and Lightscape will host an Open House and Vendor Showcase at their facility on Sunday, Oct. 9, located at 640 Airport S. Pkwy, Suite 200 Atlanta, GA 30349. Their Grand Opening is slated for the next day, Oct. 10.
