Because J. R. Clancy’s SceneControl 5300 offers limitless synchronized grouping functionality, the compact motion control console can be used for elaborate productions, yet its software is also intuitive and user-friendly, making it a good choice for the needs of schools and regional theaters. New features include an integrated 3D view of the venue, within which operators may select axes to operate. Multiple SceneControl consoles can be networked, allowing multiple users to control specific stage elements. The SceneControl 5300 also features a constraint algorithm that restrict motion of an axis based on position, digital inputs, or speed of an adjacent element. Scaled permissions allow authorized users to work safely within the system.

NEW YORK – J.R. Clancy was tapped for a once in a lifetime challenge: creating a custom beacon that would shine atop the new One World Trade Center tower in lower Manhattan. The energy-efficient LED beacon is made up of 16 suitcase-sized petals, each containing 11 modules of LED lights. The bottom petals each contain 22 LED modules. Each module produces 1,200 lumens, for a cumulative total of 316,800 lumens—a light that will be seen easily from Manhattan to New Jersey, even on a foggy night.
