More Than 100 ADJ Fixtures Create Impressive Atmosphere at ‘Vroeger Was Alles Beter 2023’

A significant quantity of ADJ Focus Profile, Vizi Beam 12RX, and Focus Flex automated luminaires were used to create an impressive atmosphere last month for a huge hardstyle dance event held at the Autotron exhibition center close to ‘s-Hertogenbosch in The Netherlands. Vroeger Was Alles Beter (which translates to ‘Everything Used To Be Better’) focuses on classic hard dance music and this special edition dubbed ‘The Man With The Golden Classics’ was headlined by one of the scene’s most prolific artists, Headhunterz. The sold-out event, which attracted a crowd of 8000, ran all day from 12:30pm through to 12:00am. In Memoriam: James Moody, Designer, Author, Teacher, Mentor, 80

Designer James L. Moody died on Monday, February 20, 2023, at the age of 80. Lighting Designer for theater, concerts, and television as well as professor, lecturer, author, and mentor, Moody had an amazing and varied career.

We send our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues on his passing. Applications Now Open for the Shubert Organization Internship Program an Introduction to Theatre Careers Beyond the Curtain

The Shubert Organization is now accepting applications for The Shubert Organization 2023 Internship Program. There are available internships in Broadway Theatre Management, Facilities Project Management, Ticketing, Human Resources, and other positions in the organization. The program will run July 10–August 18, 2023. The deadline for applications is March 17, 2023. Black Theatre United Presents the Broadway Marketing Internship Program

A New Initiative for Black Undergraduate Students in Partnership with CUNY

Black Theatre United (BTU), a non-profit organization that helps protect Black people, Black talent, and Black lives in theatre, announces the launch of the Broadway Marketing Internship Program, a summer-long initiative that provides 8 paid internships for undergraduate education students. The pilot program is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between Black Theatre United, CUNY, and four of New York’s top live entertainment advertising and marketing agencies: Serino Coyne, AKA, RPM and Situation Interactive. With a strong focus on and commitment to increasing access for Black, Indigenous, and students of color who have an interest in this arena, yet open to all, this program will provide a learning space to develop a deeper understanding of how the industry operates by working with the various companies and organizations that keep Broadway moving. Two students will be placed with each of the four participating agencies for the eight-week paid program, which runs June 27 – August 19, 2022.
