Sinéad O’Connor is introduced at the 1989 Grammy’s performing “Mandinka”

As we mark the passing of Sinéad O’Connor, who died at the age of 56 on July 26, 2023, we share this video of the first live performance many of us in U.S. saw of the incredibly talented artist. She performed “Mandinka” on the 1989 Grammy Awards, where she was nominated for Best Rock Vocal Performance, Female for her 1987 debut album, The Lion and the Cobra. Her performance won the audience over, though she lost the award to the iconic Tina Turner.

75th Emmy Awards Nominations Announced

The nominations for the 75th Emmy Awards were announced this past week, including the nominees for the Creative Arts Emmys, honoring artistic and technical achievements in television. The 2023 Creative Arts Emmy Awards are currently scheduled to take place at the Peacock Theater over two consecutive nights on Saturday, September 9, and Sunday, September 10.

Luke Stratton Creates Mood for The Smashing Pumpkins with CHAUVET Professional

Luke Stratton didn’t have to read between the lines when he saw the creative brief for Smashing Pumpkins’ The World Is A Vampire festival, which took place in early March.
