America watched as country music’s biggest stars graced the stage of CMA Fest 2022, which aired on August 3 on ABC. Abbas Ritscher and his team at The Design Oasis made up for the lack of front-lighting at the Rolling Loud festival’s Snipes Stage by grabbing 12 extra Chauvet Professional Maverick Storm 1 Wash fixtures from their inventory and hanging them “as far down the stage as we could” for a camera-friendly lighting design. The Design Oasis also used Chauvet fixtures to illuminate the smaller VH1 stage and the festival grounds.
LD Felix Seidel created large adaptable spaces in Gotham City style on tour for hip-hop artist RAF Camora with GLP products, using 32 impression FR10 Bars and 20 GLP JDC1. The tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland support the three albums that the artist has released since 2019.
It’s been a busy year for lighting and production designer Chris Lisle and his company CLLD. The production design firm recently wrapped up work on Lollapalooza, their sixth major event back to back, where they relied on an Elation-centered rig including Proteus series IP65 luminaires to light Perry’s Stage.
Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Kany García visited Caracas, Venezuela for the first time for two shows in May. Production Manager Jorge “Mosquito” Redondo of Caracas-based OZ Shows selected Claypaky Sharpy Plus fixtures for the concerts, which were provided by Touch Me Marketing, also based in Caracas.

Adding to the family of the award-winning Sharpy fixtures, Claypaky introduces the Sharpy X Frame multifunction luminaire. The Sharpy X Frame takes the best features of the Sharpy line and integrates a four-focal plane shutter system in a lightweight, compact fixture.
