3rd International Drone Show Competition Winners Announced

The 3rd International Drone Show Competition, initiated by SPH Engineering’s Drone Show Software (DSS) team, announced its results. Participants from 31 countries competed for the right to get to the final and become the winner in one of five categories. Applications from drone show operators, event companies, firework enthusiasts, 3D animators, and other professionals involved in the drone show industry were evaluated by an international jury, composed of representatives of the media industry, drone enterprises, creative and design agencies, experienced high-tech entrepreneurs, etc. PLSN Editor, Michael S. Eddy was one of the judges for the 3rd International Drone Show Competition.

TURKU, Finland — Mein Schiff 3 (My Ship), a cruise ship recently built at the STX Finland shipyard here for Germany based TUI Cruises, features Robe moving lights within its entertainment venues, including the main theatre and nightclub venues. Chris Moylan of Berlin based Optikalusion designed the lighting systems.

Bright Group Acquires Stageroom Stockholm AB

STOCKHOLM, Sweden — Stageroom, a technical installation and rental company based here, has been acquired by the Espoo, Finland-based Bright Group, a major entertainment technology services company serving the Nordic region. Stageroom will continue to operate as a separate company and becomes affiliated with Starlight and Lagom & Gott in Sweden, two other companies acquired by the Bright Group.
