Sunlight! Everyone loves it. Even life itself depends on it. But anyone trying to generate lighting excitement on an outdoor stage during daylight hours would rather it go away. Most often, festival LDs can take solace knowing that eventually the sun will go down, freeing them to create eye-popping looks in the dark. The team at Events United had no such luxury. They had to create sizzling looks for one of hip-hop’s most dynamic artists on a small stage for a show that took place entirely during daylight hours.Read More »Events United Shines for Flo Rida Marathon Monday Show with CHAUVET Professional
Florence and the Machine’s grand world tour, which began late last summer in North America and subsequently spanned shows as far afield as Melbourne and London, will again prove that distance is no barrier as the festival season looms, with imminent outdoor events in Brazil and Europe. Masterminded by a largely new creative team, the lighting is based on an original concept from the highly imaginative Andi Watson, complementing Es Devlin’s set design. However, one long-term Florence collaborator is the show’s Lighting Director, Sam O’Riordan.Read More »GLP Flies High with Florence and the Machine Supporting LD Andi Watson
Techno-based Rotterdam Rave runs 9-10 underground rave events a year which draw in excess of 50,000 visitors. Originally located in old industrial buildings, the sold-out events have grown rapidly in size, and the organisation recently adopted the 8,000-capacity RTM Stage at Rotterdam Ahoy as the newest addition to the Rotterdam Rave territory. As a purpose-built venue, the RTM Stage needed to prove its worth as a genuine ‘rave cave’ with plenty of underground vibes.Read More »Rotterdam Rave Kicks-Off 2023 with MDG at Rotterdam Ahoy RTM Stage
