On May 18 2023, the sixth edition of the Tante Mia Tanzt Electro Festival took place in Vechta, Lower Saxony, Germany. Top DJs such as Netsky, Steve Aoki, and W&W played on the 68-metre-wide and 14-metre-high stage in front of around 20,000 spectators. As in the previous year, Eventures GmbH was responsible for the technical event equipment of the open-air festival in 2023. Tante Mia also relies on continuity behind the lighting console: Lighting Designer Milan Spira already used a lot of moving lights from Cameo for the 2022 edition, and this time opted for the OTOS, OPUS and ZENIT Series.Read More »Cameo Illuminates the Tante Mia Tanzt Festival 2023

It was hard to beat the magnitude of the star power at the 2023 Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, but one dozen innovative Claypaky Skylos searchlights held their own against headlining acts on the Pyramid Stage, including the UK’s last live touring performance of Sir Elton John. Placed on the ground and producing super-concentrated beams of lights, the Skylos searchlights showed themselves to be extremely versatile fixtures that are more than simple searchlights, creating dense, solid beams of light and ever-greater light output. The Band CAMINO has been on quite a roll of late, with an Elektra Records deal, a slew of charting hits like “The Last Man Standing,” and a European tour under their belts. This June, the rapidly rising indie/rock trio from Nashville reached another milestone when they made their first appearance at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. Of course, being relatively new, the band was slated as one the earlier acts in a festival headlined by the likes of the Jelly Roll, KORN, The Foo Fighters, Kendrick Lamar, Paramore, and ODESZA. But no worries, The Band Camino’s fierce, energetic sound stood out in the crowd, just as the lightshow supporting them did, despite the ambient light.Read More »Tyler Shapard and Dayne deHaven Go Bold at Bonnaroo for The Band CAMINO with CHAUVET Professional

The Séries Mania Festival created a global buzz a few years ago when it hosted the world premiere of the long-awaited Netflix series The Rain. None of the 32 premieres showcased at the four-day festival this year had rain in their titles, but there was plenty of precipitation outside. The inclement weather did nothing, however, to dampen the excitement at an event that Variety magazine has hailed as “Europe’s Premier TV Festival.” Nor did it interfere with the bright and colorful lighting that enhanced the upbeat mood at the world-renowned gala and conference, which drew TV executives from 64 different countries.Read More »Public Address/Stagers Helps Séries Mania Festival Shine in Rain with CHAUVET Professional
How can I balance my lighting with a massive video structure so the two work together in harmony? Virtually all lighting designers have asked themselves this question—and with good reason. Like some giant planetary object that bends spacetime and pulls everything around it into its gravitational orbit, big video walls have a way of changing everything on stage. Figuring out how to work lights with them is the key to creating a harmonious design.Read More »Tom Kenny Balances Looks at iHeart Country Music Festival with CHAUVET Professional
