In celebration of the coronation of King Charles III on May 6, the Palace of Westminster in London was illuminated in the iconic colors of the Union Jack – red, white, and blue. The home of the UK Parliament is a worldwide famous building dating from 1840 with iconic architecture. May 6th, the world turned its eyes to Westminster Abbey. The coronation of King Charles III was held here in front of 2,300 invited guests. One day later, more than 20,000 visitors attended another Royal highlight: in front of the magnificent scenery of Windsor Castle, the official Coronation Concert took place with live performances by global stars such as Katy Perry, Take That, and Lionel Richie as well as an emotional speech by Prince William. From January 27 to 29 2023, the 110th Six Day 2023 took place at the Velodrom in Berlin. The cycling race, also known as the Six Day Race, is one of the absolute sporting highlights of the German capital, sending the professionals out on to an impressive 250-meter oval track.
