There’s still time to join The Event Safety Alliance this November in San Diego for the 10th annual Event Safety Summit. Since 2014, the Event Safety Summit has brought together professionals from around the globe and across the entertainment, sports, and corporate event industries to discuss all aspects of safety, security, and health at live events.

The LRLR Raffle and Behind the Scenes’ Mental Health Initiative at USITT

The Long Reach Long Riders and Behind the Scenes will host their annual fundraising raffle at the USITT Conference March 16-18 in St. Louis, MO. This year’s raffle will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Long Reach Long Riders annual charity motorcycle ride. ESA: Weather Planning for Mass Gatherings Workshop, Jan. 4-5, 2023 in Austin, TX

From Woodstock to Indiana, from wind to lightning to extreme heat, severe weather is one of the most common and potentially dangerous hazards affecting outdoor events. Conscientious event professionals are expected to include comprehensive weather planning as part of their overall event management plan.

The Event Safety Alliance (ESA)’s Weather Planning for Mass Gatherings Workshop (formerly the “Severe Weather Summit”) is a practical workshop that joins meteorological science and event operations to help event and venue professionals address increasingly volatile weather conditions. ESA Announces New Training Opportunity: OSHA 30 General Industry Training

The Event Safety Alliance (ESA) has just added a new virtual OSHA 30 General Industry course to its fall calendar. This online, instructor-led learning opportunity will be delivered via Zoom over eight weeks, beginning October 4. ESA’s Crowd Safety Symposium Heads to Greenville, SC in September 2022

Event Safety Alliance announces the next edition of the Crowd Safety Symposium, taking place September 8-9, 2022, at Furman University in Greenville, SC. Adelman on Venues: Last Night at Astroworld

Here’s the latest installment of Adelman on Venues from lawyer and VP of the Event Safety Alliance, Steve Adelman on what happened at the AstroWorld Festival in Houston, TX.

Last night at Astroworld, a festival held at NRG Stadium in Houston, at least eight people died and more than 300 others received medical treatment in a crowd crush during Travis Scott’s performance. Because we have seen too many heartbreaking incidents like this before, it is tempting to rush to judgment about the causes of this one. Let’s do better than that. Let’s ask the right questions first, then see what the facts reveal.

Event Safety Summit Moves to March 2022

Over the last several weeks, a number of ESA members have expressed reservations about attending the 2021 Event Safety Summit in person. Many wish to remain available for potential gigs, have concerns about unvaccinated family members, or have had travel restricted by their employer. While conditions have improved in many parts of the United States, things are not where we hoped they would be when we started planning this year’s Summit. ESA Launches Individual Gold Donor Membership Program

ESA Launches Individual Gold Donor Membership Program

LOS ANGELES – The Event Safety Alliance (ESA) has announced the creation of its Individual Gold Donor Membership program. Participating donors receive one free digital or printed copy of the Event Safety Guide and get included in the ESA’s online professional database. They also gain access to tools and content on the ESA website, get discounts on ESA programs and events and get one “I Support the ESA” T-shirt.
