Oslo Theater Upgrade Includes LED Lighting Fixtures from ETC

OSLO, Norway — As part of a comprehensive upgraded, ETC dealer Elektrik provided Oslo’s Det Norske Teatret with ETC Source Four LED Lustr+ Zoom Profile fixtures for the venue’s 738-seat main stage, replacing 30 luminaires that had been used for back- and side-lighting. Resident LD Torkel Skjærven said the fixtures’ output, color mix, size and quiet operation all met the venue’s needs.

ETC Now Accepting Student Applications for Free Trip to LDI 2014

MIDDLETON, WI — ETC announced that college seniors and grad students have until May 23, 2014 to apply for a chance at an expense-paid trip to attend the LDI show in Las Vegas from Nov. 21-23, 2014. The company’s student sponsorships also include mentor-matching, where students are paired with lighting pros who can offer advice, guidance and support as they embark on their industry careers.

NEW YORK — ETC opened its remodeled offices here Dec. 11 with a celebration that drew more than 250 lighting and rigging professionals to see the company’s remodeled offices and product labs.

ETC’s iRFR Donations to Behind the Scenes Approach $150,000

LAS VEGAS — At the LDI show here in late November, Dennis Varian of ETC presented a check for nearly $26,000 to Behind the Scenes, which reflected ongoing proceeds from sales of ETC’s iRFR and aRFR (Radio Focus Remote) application for iPhone, iPod Touch and Android. The donation brings ETC’s total Behind the Scenes contributions to date to just under $150,000.

MIDDLETON, WI — ETC named company veteran David Lincecum vice president of marketing. Lincecum joined ETC more than two decades ago, and most recently served as product marketing manager. In his new role, Lincecum will oversee the global marketing operations of ETC, while supporting dozens of ETC’s marketing employees around the world.
