Soundwise is a busy Aarhus, Denmark-based full production rental company, which was founded by Lars Thorsager in 2001, initially, as you might expect from the name, as an audio specialist. Their client base includes music and cultural shows and events, touring and corporates, the latter being a rapidly expanding sector. It’s that growth in premium industrial shows over the last year that has fueled a new investment in Robe moving lights, with 12 ESPRITES and 12 LEDBeam 350s joining the rental fleet.Read More »A Wise Move for Robe

Lauv’s Electro-Pop Playground

LD Myles Mangino Chooses Robe for Mark Ronson Video Shoot

New York-based Lighting Designer Myles Mangino used the stylish appearance of Robe’s PATT 2013 luminaires and the excellent CRI and crisp optics of their ESPRITE moving lights to add a touch of class to a video shoot for music producer Mark Ronson featuring singer Lucky Daye. Robe Rocks Roskilde 2022

Denmark’s Roskilde Festival celebrated 50 years this year with a stellar line-up across multiple stages. Robe moving lights played a major role on the Arena Stage, where LD Sune Verdier offered guest LDs an automated setup with a “menu” of eight different truss configuration options, and on the Orange Stage, with a Robe-centered rig provided by Victory Tour Production.

Norwegian Theatre Invests in ESPRITES

Det Norske Teatret (the Norwegian Theatre) in Oslo houses three stages in its main building in downtown Oslo, plus one more in another venue in the city run by the same team, all of which work on a busy repertory schedule. Together at least 25 original and cutting-edge productions are created annually, in the Norwegian language of Nynorsk, and host some guest works as well. Twenty of Robe’s new FORTE moving lights are a key feature of a new lighting design by Maxime Chotard for Mousquetaire de Richelieu (Richelieu’s Musketeer), one of the flagship shows at Puy du Fou, a historical theme park in Les Epesses in the Pays de la Loire region of Western France.
