Slovenian indie rockers Joker Out are the hottest musical act of the moment in this lively, beautiful, and dynamic European country. Formed in 2016, 2023 has been a mega-busy year with lots of touring shows, representing Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest in the UK, and recently playing a show-stopping sold-out performance at Ljubljana’s biggest arena venue, Stožice, which was lit by Klemen Krajnc, part of the Blackout design studio. This was an all-Robe moving light rig – with 100 Robe luminaires breaking down as 32 MegaPointes, 64 Spiiders, 19 LEDBeam 150s, and 13 FORTES plus a quantity of strobes and LED floods.Read More »Joker Out for Robe

LD Crt Birsa Creates Architectural Looks for 2CELLOS with Robe Moving Lights

LD Crt Birsa, who has worked with 2CELLOS since 2014, opted for a complete break with his previous designs for the duo of Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser. Instead of the full-on rock ‘n’ roll looks of the previous tour, Birsa takes a more architectural approach using Robe MegaPointes and Spiiders at the core of his design.

Like some secret shared within a tightly knit circle of friends, these impossible-to-translate words and phrases endow a language with its distinct character – one that only those immersed in its culture can fully appreciate. “Popevka,” is such a word in Slovenian. A form of music interwoven tightly around this nation’s folk traditions; its deepest meaning evaporates once it’s decoupled from its cultural roots. Slovenia Eurovision Finds its FORTE

LD Crt Birsa used 66 Robe moving lights including 13 Robe FORTE fixtures for the selection events determining Slovenia’s entry in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest. Radiotelevizija Slovenija (RTV SLO) staged the talent competitions at their main studios in capital city Ljubljana over three weekends.
