Claypaky Xtylos played a key role in Limp Bizkit’s 2024 ‘Loserville Tour’, the nu-metal band’s 24-stop North American summer road show. Las Vegas-based OSA International, Inc. provided the full production package for the tour, including lighting, cameras, and audio. Justin Wade, who has worked with Limp Bizkit for about two years, served as Lighting Designer, Programmer, and Operator for the tour.
Jonny “Tosser” Tosserello, Lighting Designer/Director for Lynyrd Skynyrd, is continuing his long-time use of Claypaky Xtylos for ‘The Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour’ with ZZ Top co-headlining. Lynyrd Skynyrd, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, kicked off the North American leg, with ZZ Top, in July with lighting support from Premier Global Production.
Designer Mikki Kunttu brought Richard Wagner’s epic ‘Der Ring des Nibelungen’ to a breathtaking conclusion at the Finnish National Opera with the performance of the monumental, nearly six-hour-long ‘Götterdämmerung’ featuring Claypaky Xtylos, the laser-based beam lighting fixture.
Last year Tritec AV Amman Jordan, a leading creative technical AV production company in the region, embarked on a restructuring program, which included significant investments in new lighting products from Claypaky. The company purchased 40 Claypaky Xtylos, 42 Mini Xtylos HPE, 12 Skylos, and 100 Mini B Aqua fixtures. They were quickly put to use on a number of projects, including a concert by Iraqi superstar Kadim Al Sahir on July 13 in Amman Exhibition Park. One of the biggest heavy metal music festivals in the world, Hellfest recently wrapped its 16th edition in Clisson, France where KISS launched the festival with Claypaky Xtylos and an array of Claypaky fixtures played key roles for other bands. The four-day festival featured 180 bands performing on six stages in the concert area plus additional outdoor stages. British rock band Muse has hit the road with its North American tour, Will of the People, on which more than 150 Claypaky Xtylos enhance the band’s post-apocalyptic staging non-stop. The tour is named for the band’s most recent ninth studio album, which gave Muse its seventh consecutive No. 1 on the UK albums chart and topped Billboard’s Alternative and Rock Albums tallies.
