PARIS — 1024 Architecture, an art and design company led by founders Pierre Schneider and François Wunschel, is incorporating Clay Paky’s Sharpy fixtures as part of a pop-up 4D scaffold and light sculpture dubbed “Hyper-Cube,” a.k.a. Tesseract.
LONDON — For British singer Jessie J’s Alive arena tour, LD Vince Foster included Clay Paky Sharpy and Sharpy Wash fixtures in a layered production design where lighting beams interact with 600 horizontally positioned LED strips.
LONDON — Lighting and stage designer Andy Hurst included Clay Paky’s Sharpy fixtures for electronic dance music duo Chase and Status’s arena tour last fall. Blackburn, U.K.-based HSL provided the fixtures which complemented the curved truss set design and video visuals.
LOS ANGELES — For ABC’s Lady Gaga & The Muppets Holiday Spectacular with guests Sir Elton John, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ru Paul, LD Tom Beck included Clay Paky Sharpys and Sharpy Wash fixtures in a rig controlled by a grandMA2 console.
BIRMINGHAM — White Lies toured U.K. venues in December with support from Colour Sound Experiment, which provided custom truss from James Thomas Engineering and Robe and Clay Paky gear. In addition to Robe CycFX 8 fixtures, MMX Spots, LEDWash 1200/300s and Clay Paky Sharpys, the visual design paired Colour Sound’s BT18 LED screen panels with Robe Media Spinners.
LAS VEGAS – Rod Stewart performed his Caesars Palace residency show, “The Hits,” under a lighting rig that included Clay Paky’s Alpha Spot QWO 800s and Alpha Wash 1500s, as specified by the artist’s longtime LD Mark Payne. Payne, who has worked with the artist for the past 20 years, also specified the Clay Paky fixtures for Rod Stewart’s 2013 Live the Life tour.
