CHICAGO — Kehoe Designs, an event design company based here, has been using Clay Paky’s A.leda B-EYE K20 LED-based moving lights and Sharpy fixtures for recent events in the area, including a party hosted by the San Francisco Travel Association at the Grand Ballroom of the Palmer House Hotel (an after-party linked to the US Travel Association’s recent International Pow Wow, pictured here) and the 25th anniversary celebration for a major international financial services company.

For the instrumental electronic jam band Lotus, Main Light Industries provided a dozen Clay Paky A.leda B-EYE K20 LED fixtures to meet the specifications of LD Scott Huston.

ATLANTA — For the instrumental electronic jam band Lotus, Main Light Industries provided a dozen Clay Paky A.leda B-EYE K20 LED fixtures to meet the specifications of LD Scott Huston. Huston positions eight B-EYEs on four truss towers and four more on the stage.

LONDON — LD Richard Rhys Thomas of the Royal Albert Hall (RAH) used Clay Paky fixtures for the Mountbatten Military Festival of Music March 13-15. He used 36 Alpha Wash Halo 1200s, 16 Stage Line fixtures and a half-dozen Alpha Wash 1200, Alpha Wash 575, Alpha Spot HPE 575 and Stage Scan fixtures, all supplied by the RAH.

Live 2014, a demo event held April 13-14 at the Pala de Andre in Ravenna Italy. Gear from Clay Paky was prominently featured.

RAVENNA, Italy — Clay Paky’s lighting designer, Marco Zucchinali, incorporated the company’s fixtures including the entire B-EYE light range, SuperSharpy and Stormy fixtures at Live 2014, a demo event held April 13-14 at the Pala de André here. Also featured were Chromlech’s Jarag and Elidy; Clay Paky distributes those products in Italy. The event is sponsored by Italy-based trade organizations including ARILD (the Italian Association of Lighting Designers), ANS (Italian National Event Service Association) and DOC Servizi (the Italian Professional Performing Arts Cooperative).

LONDON — LD Peter Barnes included Clay Paky’s A.leda B-EYE K20 to provide some fresh looks for The Assembly Hall in London’s Islington district. The 1930s-era dance hall underwent a refurbishment in 2010, and the new fixtures, sourced via Ambersphere, provided Barnes with the cutting edge, club-style looks he had been seeking for the show.

DUBLIN — OneRepublic’s headlining “Native Tour,” which completed its shows in the U.K. and Ireland on March 24 after spending last year circling the globe, was the first tour to utilize Clay Paky’s A.leda B-EYE K20 LED-based moving lights.  A complement of Clay Paky Sharpys was also on hand.  Neg Earth supplied the gear for the Colorado Springs, CO-based band.

LONDON — LD Steven Bewley included Clay Paky Sharpys in the rig for a concert at Shepherds Bush Empire featuring The Strypes. The gig was the first professionally lit show of the young band’s career. Bewley is known for his lighting designs for other concerts featuring Dizzee Rascal and Enter Shikari. Neg Earth provided the gear for the band’s U.K. shows, which were followed by gigs in North America in March.

DALLAS – Gemini Light Sound & Video has invested in 30 Clay Paky Sharpy Washes and plans to add more to its rental inventory soon. “I can’t keep them in stock,” said project manager Jason Cain, who credited the fixtures for their “size, speed, color saturation and output.” Among the recent events where Gemini’s new Sharpy Wash fixtures were used: the National Cheerleaders Association’s High School National Championships at the Dallas Convention Center (pictured here.)

LISLE, IL — John Featherstone of Lightswitch specified 28 Clay Paky Sharpys for Illumination: The Lights at The Morton Arboretum, a lighting installation that brought bare trees in winter alive with luminous color. The fixtures, in Igloo domes, were programmed on grandMA consoles for the display, featured during the 2013/2014 holiday season.
