Nick Jevons Immerses at Terminal V Festival with CHAUVET Professional

At its best, a design of any kind, isn’t just something to be seen and felt; ideally, it should also be something to interact with. The organizers of the popular Terminal V Festival, must have had this vision bubbling up in their collective imagination when they laid out plans for 10th edition of their annual event, which took place this April at the Royal Highland Centre. Taking their V2 Stage, a mainstay of the festival since 2017, they totally revamped it, turning it into a crisply angled 360-stage, making it “unrecognizable from years gone by.” The team at 19MIL, which designed the V2 Stage and the adjacent Terminal Stage were keenly aware of how important lighting would be to making both stages come alive in ways that would enhance the level of audience interaction with the impressive lineup of EDM artists appearing on them over the course of the weekend festival.Read More »Nick Jevons Immerses at Terminal V Festival with CHAUVET Professional

Joe Beardsmore Flows on Tom Odell’s ‘Black Friday Tour’ with CHAUVET & Colour Sound Experiment

The deepest emotions tend to live in that area between light and darkness, where nebulous boundaries give them endless space to expand and shrink, twist and turn in infinite directions. By devising such a space on stage for Tom Odell’s Black Friday Tour, Joe Beardsmore created the ideal visual setting for music that one critic aptly described as “a raw emotional masterpiece.” Busking his show on a ChamSys MagicQ 250M Stadium console, Beardsmore of Phosphor, moved seamlessly in sync with the Brit Award winning singer-songwriter and his seven-piece band, blending shadows and brightness, silhouettes, and distinctive light angles to underscore the heartfelt narrative of this roughly 90-minute show. The Plot in You live at The Riviera Theatre, in Chicago, Photo by Sarah Hess

Fans never know what to expect at a live performance by The Plot In You. Sure, everybody understands that they will be treated to some razor-sharp riffs and take-your-breath-away melodic control that push (no, make that shatter) the boundaries of metalcore music, but sooner or later the band will thrill the crowd by turning on a dime and taking their performance in a surprising new direction. As one critic put it during the quartet’s recently completed three-month 42-city tour with Beartooth, “the uncanny element of surprise has entrenched the gold-selling Ohio quartet on the cutting edge of heavy music.”Read More »CHAUVET Professional and Squeek Lights Help Quinn Brabender Keep Pace With The Plot In You

John Garberson and Creative BackStage Pump Up Powerhouse with CHAUVET Professional

“Empty space is never wasted space,” Andy Warhol once observed. The pioneer of pop art knew whereof he spoke. By carefully inserting blank spaces in his work, he gave its emotional power room to grow and flourish. John Garberson, whose artistic bent goes in the direction of lighting design and photography, followed this philosophy recently when creating the lighting rig for the Powerhouse Hip-Hop celebration at the Desert Diamond Arena outside Phoenix.Read More »John Garberson and Creative BackStage Pump Up Powerhouse with CHAUVET Professional
