ChamSys will be conducting a series of learning sessions during the first two days of the three-day PLASA 2024 show, which runs from September 1-3. The sessions will cover a variety of topics, from an introduction to MagicQ, to a guide to achieving faster programming with Group Cues and Group FX, as well as well as learning experiences with guest LDs.
The acclaimed British lighting designer, Ed Warren and his client Four Tet were 100-feet below the long and very busy Kosciuszko Bridge in NYC, busy doing what they love. Those passing overhead between Brooklyn and Queens were oblivious to the two-day festival below featuring a mix of EDM music from Four Tet and 20 artists. Warren lit Four Tet’s two main stage sets using his ChamSys MagicQ MQ500M Stadium Console.

At times during his performances on his recent arena tour of the US/Israeli superstar Eden Hason seemed to be elevated in space as if he were seeking to connect himself and the audience to some higher, more hopeful meaning. Johnny Marr had some very definite ideas about the kinds of looks he wanted on stage for his Greatest Hits tour, which kicked off at Newcastle’s O2 City Hall on April 2. The rock legend, who first gained fame for his jangly guitar as a member of The Smiths, found an ideal collaborator to help him create the production he had in mind – and he didn’t even need to look very far.
