SIX the Musical is a pop-Tudor mashup, fusing historical and contemporary references to tell the story of the six wives of Henry VIII. Costume designer Gabriella Slade and costume supervisor Justin Allin take us behind the scenes, revealing the secrets of Catherine of Aragon’s striking glitzy gold costume in this video from the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour features a bevy of sustainable elements including four inflatable LED spheres that played a role in supporting the band’s green goals. PRG worked with their team on the engineering and fabrication of this innovative technology. FORT WORTH, TX — The Long Reach Long Riders celebrated their 11th ride with a raffle and live auction to benefit Behind the Scenes during the USITT Conference here in late March. Sales of raffle tickets, some key donations, and BTS and LRLR-branded swag raised just over $12,000 for the charity.
LAS VEGAS — At the LDI show here in late November, Dennis Varian of ETC presented a check for nearly $26,000 to Behind the Scenes, which reflected ongoing proceeds from sales of ETC’s iRFR and aRFR (Radio Focus Remote) application for iPhone, iPod Touch and Android. The donation brings ETC’s total Behind the Scenes contributions to date to just under $150,000.
STAMFORD, CT — Behind the Scenes (BTS) got a boost recently from Robert Juliat. The lighting equipment manufacturer donated an iPad for BTS’ raffle event at PLASA Focus, which raised $2,400 for the charity. The raffle also helped bring attendees to the BTS Boutique during the show. In all, BTS raised $4,192 at the event. Pictured here are Fred Lindauer and Nikki Calabro from Robert Juliat.
