X-Factor Shows in Kazakhstan and Serbia Controlled by Avolites Gear

KAZAKHSTAN and SERBIA — LDs Dmitriy Karabetskiy and Viktor Trifu both specified Avolites consoles for their individual designs for versions of the X-Factor TV franchise seen in Kazakhstan and Serbia. For the Serbian series, X-Factor Adria, Trifu and his partner Arsa Zlatkovic opted for the Avolites Expert Pro. Meanwhile, over in Khazakstan, LD Karabetski chose the Avolites Titan Mobile desk with Titan software.

Avolites Media Spins Visual Magic at Glastonbury

UK – Avolites Media’s Ai infinity 8 Server has powered the video mapping of a giant robotic Spider Stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival. The 30 ft Spider Stage, constructed by ‘sculpture-based organization’ Arcadia, featured eight metal legs surrounding a core-like DJ box, all of which were video mapped by Ai Infinity 8 via a mixture of preprogrammed sequences and live-control.

Avolites Tiger Touch is Top Act at the Circus

LONDON – Contemporary circus troupe, No Fit State, recently welcomed the latest performing member to its troupe: The Avolites Tiger Touch. The design, originally conceived by LD Adam Cobley, is taken care of on tour by lighting director and programmer Leif Le Page, who says that fast, on the fly access to the lighting is crucial for this latest production of “Bianco.”

Avolites Ai Server Aids Sky TV’s Dance Show

LONDON – Avolites Media’s Ai server has been powering the fast-paced visuals for Sky TV’s spring series of “Got to Dance.” With the help of Ai, the visual team was able to see the entire TV studio as one giant canvas, using Ai’s ability to scale the outputs to compensate for the varying pixel pitches of the different LED fixtures. Ai is equipped to play back to video canvasses up to 8x HD1080 and this was a significant benefit to the production.

Designed by LD Jamie Thompson, in collaboration with content producers Immersive, the show visuals are operated by US-based Jeffrey Brown.

Avolites Ai Media Server Hits Vegas NYE Jackpot

LAS VEGAS – Avolites Media’s Ai media server has powered a 3D video mapping experience at one of Las Vegas’ biggest New Year’s Eve parties. The Ai media server mapped graphics projected onto three giant structures for the 2000-strong party at the Aria Resort to welcome in 2013. PRG’s Vickie Claiborne chose the media server for its ability to work with 3D mapping and to handle multiple projection devices internally.

Avolites Tiger Touch 6.1 Debuts on Level 42 Anniversary Tour

LONDON – Lighting designer Yenz Nyholm used his Avolites Tiger Touch to help reignite the memories of Level 42 fans when the band performed at London’s Royal Albert Hall. He programmed both the lighting and the video through his Avolites’ Tiger Touch 6.1, which now features enhancements and updates that have advanced the console’s capability. He said, “The best thing for me is the cue stacking. You can display your cue list and each individual cue’s parameters on the screens, but better still you can go in and change every parameter without having to be in the cue itself. This has been a massive time saving device.”

Avolites Ltd. Appoints Two New Directors

LONDON – Avolites Ltd appoints Koy Neminathan as Sales Director and JB Toby as Technical Director. Neminathan joined Avolites Ltd in February 2000 and has worked as Business Development Manager and Sales Manager. He succeeeds Steve Warren, who remains an active director of Avolites and managing director of Avolites Media Ltd. Toby joined the company’s R&D team in 1994 and created the ART dimming range. As Technical Director he will continue product development.
