NEW YORK — The Hemsley Lighting Portfolio Review brought 32 students from 20 universities across the country to New York’s Lincoln Center March 16-17 to present portfolios of their designs to a group of theater professionals. It was the ninth such event, and for the fourth consecutive year, 4Wall served as an event partner, hosting a demonstration of automated lighting gear at its shop in New Jersey.
NASHVILLE- The Country Radio Broadcasters organization meets annually in Nashville with an event, Country Radio Seminar. 4Wall Nashville provided the lighting for the week’s festivities.
NEW YORK – The World Financial Center recently unveiled Light Cycles, an artistic installation piece commissioned by Arts Brookfield and created by LD Anne Militello. The piece – running throughout March – seeks to create visuals of colors and patterns in light inspired by nature, while also paying service to the cycles of life interpreted in light. The 4Wall Systems & Design team provided an assist in the form of custom LED support.
NEW YORK — 4Wall named industry veteran Bill Groener general manager of its Systems & Design division. Groener will be responsible for the Systems team on a national level, overseeing design and installation projects taking place at all five 4Wall locations. Groener’s background includes more than 30 years of lighting design, production and management roles within the industry.
NEW YORK – New Year’s Eve performances in New York’s Times Square – seen on ABC, FNC, NBC, and Univision – all featured lighting from 4Wall New York. LD Paul Miller and his team, including programmer Paul Sonnleitner, were brought in to light the two main performance stages by Paladin Entertainment and the event organizers. Limited power, traffic, weather and other elements were factors in the design challenges.
HANOVER, MD- The 4Wall Systems team recently completed work at Maryland Live Casino’s Rams Head Center Stage, a 500-seat live entertainment venue. An interesting challenge arose toward the end of the project, as the client requested eight custom chandeliers scaling down from 21 ft. in diameter to 9 ft. in diameter. No strangers to custom fabrication, the 4Wall team quickly created these custom fixtures using LED light sources with RGB control.
LAS VEGAS – 4Wall Entertainment was named to Inc. magazine’s list of the 5,000 fastest growing companies in the nation for the third consecutive year. In the business products & services category, 4Wall earned a 2012 industry rank of #475 in the business products & services category by posting a double digit growth rate during the last three years.
COLUMBIA, MD- 4Wall Entertainment’s DC location has moved from its Halethorpe, MD, location to Columbia, MD. The relocation was necessary because of 4Wall’s growth. Since opening in January of 2010, 4Wall DC has consistently added inventory to accommodate its growing customer base.
