Video of the Week: ‘Russian Doll’ Takes a Subway Ride Using LED Video

4Wall’s Virtual Production team was tasked to create a video panel wall that wrapped around a practical subway car to create a simulated effect of the subway rolling down the tracks for a pivotal scene in an episode of Netflix’s Russian Doll. They utilized Absen M2.9 LED video panels controlled via disguise media servers along with ARRI SkyPanels and Chroma-Q Chroma-Q Studio Force II LED battens to pull off the desired look.

Season 2 of Netflix’s highly anticipated series Russian Doll was released in April. 4Wall’s Virtual Production team was tasked to create a video panel wall that wrapped around a practical subway car to create a simulated effect of the subway rolling down the tracks for a pivotal scene. Virtual Riot Performs at Hollywood Palladium with Elation Lighting

German dubstep artist Virtual Riot brought his Simulation Album Tour to the Hollywood Palladium April 22 with a visual design centered on beam lights, strobes and LED battens from Elation Professional. Dallas Gasper from Paradox Productions and Design designed the rig with Lighting Director Lorcan Clarke on hand to run the show. 4Wall provided the lighting gear and Owl Vision supplied the lasers and special effects.

Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival returned to the Las Vegas Speedway for the second time in seven months. The annual festival hosted more than 300 artists and upwards of 300,000 attendees. 4Wall Entertainment provided over 1,500 light fixtures, rigging and video for three out of 10 stages: bassPOD, wasteLAND, and stereoBLOOM.

From the moment Thomas Rhett kicked things off with hits like his newly released “Slow Down Summer,” the iHeartCountry Festival projected a warm, intimate vibe that made it easy for fans to forget they were inside a 15,000+ seat arena in Austin, TX.
