Wingspace’s Virtual Salon #27 will feature members of No More 10 out of 12s’ working group and colleagues for a conversation about the detrimental practice and how it affects each design discipline in different, yet similar ways. Virtual Salon #27 will take place on Thursday, June 10th, 7:30-9:30pm EDT via Zoom and Facebook Live.
Moderated by director Pirronne Yousefzadeh with panelists Regina García (scenic designer), Valérie Thérèse Bart (costume designer), Lap Chi Chu (lighting designer), Lindsay Jones (sound designer) and David Bengali (projection/video designer).

The NO MORE 10 Out Of 12’s Working Group is a collection of designers, stage managers, production managers, and other theatre artists dedicated to changing the way that we practice theatre. For almost 80 years, 10-out-of-12 technical rehearsals and six-day-workweeks have been seen by professional theatre workers as unavoidable in their schedules. In trying to uphold the spirit of “The show must go on”, many people have repeatedly pushed themselves far beyond their physical and mental limits, jeopardizing both their health and their future. In 2021, it’s time for a change. It’s time for NO MORE 10 Out Of 12’s and 6 day work weeks.
