NEW YORK – VER opened a camera prep facility in New York City, the company’s third such facility on the East Coast. (Similar facilities in Atlanta and Miami opened May and November 2015, respectively). A new prep facility is planned to open in Los Angeles in April 2016. All are designed to meet the specific needs of cinema and television professionals.

More details from VER (www.verrents.com):

VER’s New York City prep facility is located on the West Side and boasts more than 18,000 square feet of space. It includes a camera check-out floor, oversized freight elevator, and four loading docks. The easily accessible location also provides clients with experienced camera prep staff, lens technicians and camera engineers, as well as 24/7 technical support. Other amenities include a full kitchen and same-floor access to production offices and post production suites.

“Working with VER on the HBO show “High Maintenance” was smooth and effortless.  Their incredible prep facility is an absolute dream:  tons of natural light, a massive space with the ability to prep multiple cameras, great amenities, and attentive prep technicians.  VER’s commitment to helping DP’s achieve their full creative potential is so encouraging that you feel completely prepared heading into any production,” said Director of Photography Charlie Gruet.

“VER has listened to the needs of the production community and has created the premiere prep space in New York City. This new center will provide tremendous support to those of us in the production community,” said Producer Moe Bardach whose recent credits include ABC’s “Madoff” and “Behind The Magic”.

Professionals who utilize VER’s production facilities have access to the largest inventory of cameras and lenses in the world in addition to all other VER products and services including lighting, audio, LED, rigging, and more.

“We are so happy that the production community is utilizing our space and relying on our many technicians and engineers. Everything we’ve done here, from the thoughtful design to the experts we hire, is to serve production professionals and their unique needs.  Many are discovering how our expansive inventory, global reach and other services such as LED environments, can also benefit them,” said Carl Cook of VER’s Television & Cinema Division.

In support of women in production, just last night VER hosted the Women of The Guild NYC. This included members from the PGA, DGA, ICG, and CXX for a special event in the prep space. Tours of the new facility are now available to members of the media and members of the production community.  To schedule a tour please contact Carl Cook at (646) 761-6800 or ccook@ver.com.
