LEWISBURG, WV — Upstage Video returned to the Greenbrier Classic PGA Tour Tournament, July 25-31, once again providing two Daktronics video displays on the course. The company also supported the 2011 Greenbrier Classic Concert Series with three Daktronics video displays and a full video production package for a Black Eyed Peas concert July 29, pictured here.

For the PGA event, the two displays were made from PST-12HD modular panels. The display on hole 17 measured 15 by 40 feet; the one on hole 18 was 9 by 24 feet. They featured a mix of sponsorship content, live television feeds and scoring graphics created by Upstage Video.

“As usual, the Daktronics screens provided by Upstage Video looked phenomenal,” said Ernest Saeger, the Greenbrier Classic’s tournament operations manager, referring to the  PST-12HD, which offers wide viewing angles and a louver design to overcome outdoor lighting conditions.  “The screens, the graphics, the crew, the whole package was first class.”

At the Black Eyed Peas concert, scheduled between evenings featuring Tim McGraw and Keith Urban, Upstage Video constructed a backdrop screen that was 26 by 42 feet, supplementing that with 15 by 24 foot screens on each side of the stage. The company also provided a video production package consisting of the live scoring graphics from the PGA golf event and a 6-camera production truck.

“Brian Tyson of Upstage Video and his team delivered a great service and superior product to this event,” said Gary Bowman of InteroLive, producer of The Greenbrier Classic Concert Series, crediting Tyson as “professional in delivering everything promised and in a timely manner. Upstage is a company I would highly recommend and look for in the future.”

“They have something very special going on over there at The Greenbrier,” said Doug Murray, president of Upstage Video. “We just helped provide some of the details that added to the uniqueness of the event from adding two more displays and adding panels to increase the size of the main display for the concert to coordinating content for the golf event that carried over to the downtime before the concert started. With both events happening in the same weekend, we stepped up to help everything go off without a hitch.”
