NEW YORK — SenovvA opened its New York office and production design/pre-visualization studio in Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) with a flurry of activity in and around the DUMBO Arts Festival 2011, which ran from Sept. 23-25.
In particular, SenovvA is serving as technical consultant and sponsor of the “Immersive Surfaces” project, a collaborative group of more than 20 international artists, production designers and technical experts including the Leo Kuelbs Collection, Light Harvest Studios, Elysium Media and the NYC DOT.
Through the use of large-format, multi-part video projections and image mapping, “Immersive Surfaces” transformed a more-than-30,000-square-foot portion of the Manhattan Bridge Anchorage, Archway and surrounding structures. SenovvA also contributed to a technical panel discussion regarding the technology and the visual arts in public spaces. The company is hosting artist demos and technique reviews in SenovvA’s new production design and pre-visualization studio. The new facility is located at 45 Main Street, Suite 529; Brooklyn, NY 11201.
